A PROFILE OF Dr. M. K. SAHNI
There are some people with theoretical
bent of mind emphasing on the postulation and some believe in the very
practical of life and materialism. It is very difficult to keep a harmony and
pace between the both. Theory becomes reality with the practical. In Dr.
M. K. Sahni one can
observe him trying to convert theory in practice. Simplicity at heart he
accepted only that philosophy, which he could prove in practice.
Thus Dr.
Sahni became a meeting point for both spiritualism and materialism. His
cool and calmness of appearance keep meditating at mind to find out the
panacea for all.
Dr. M. K. Sahni born on 17th September 1952 has the distinction to be a son of great discoverer Dr. Bandhu Sahni. Unlike his father he imbibed the very spirit of Homoeopathy as being nurtured from the very childhood. He completed his Homoeopathic education of DHMS and started practicing under the guidance of his father and later on also joined as lecturer in Homoeopathic subjects at Bihar Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital in the year 1979. His long journey in teaching accumulated as vast storehouse of information finally elevating to the authoritive level of professor. With his deep interest in Homoeopathic Philosophy and ambition to visualize in practice he mastered in Repertory, Materia Medica and Homoeopathic philosophy. Keeping the integrity of different facet of Homoeopathy remained his prime concern. Teaching and spreading the knowledge is the passion for him. He edited very popular magazine Homoeo Tarang in Hindi and Journal of Homoeo Transmission, which are widely appreciated. He served Homoeopathic education as teacher, guide at Postgraduate level and as examiner both at UG and PG level.
Dr. Sahni’s
perfectionist nature led him to work tirelessly. He never retires until the
work
is completed. He had various activity related to Homoeopathy and was
deeply involved in the foundation of Research Institute Of Sahni Drug
Transmission & Homoeopathy at Patna for which he was the founder Managing
Director and later on took up the highest position of it as Chairman. RISDTH
flourished and now established as non Govt. Organization working basically for
the research and development of Homoeopathy. Presently Dr.
Sahni is the only expert for the Transmission Of Homoeo Drug Energy
from a distance.
Dr. Sahni’s
popularity led him to be elected as member of the Central Council Of
Homoeopathy, where he served as member of the education committee for more
than 12 years and now is still serving as member of the regulation committee
of the great august body of Homoeopathy, constituted by Govt. Of India.
Inquest of technological advancement Dr. Sahni worked tirelessly to incorporate advanced technology to make the better application of Homoeopathy. Perhaps he has the distinction to the first user of computer and software HOMPATH in India that he used as early as in 1986. Later on he traveled beyond and got expertised in application of other software including RADAR.
Dr. Sahni a widely traveled person, moved around the country to deliver lectures on the various aspect of Homoeopathy. He presented the scientific papers at different national and international seminars and congresses. Working for the cause of Homoeopathic development he remained a member of the Homoeopathic Medical Association where he served in different capacity and raising up to the Secretary General of this magna organization of Homoeopathy.
Soft spoken Dr. Sahni is very popular among his patients, for whom his caring heart experiences the pain and misery giving solace to them. His patients are distributed in and around the globe. He is now accepted as expert and patient are referred for his expert opinion.
His social activity is well appreciated and served the community in various capacity such as President of Rotary Club Patna Mid Town, President Bihar Voluntary Health Association and as life member of Red Cross Society, Samaj Kalyan Samiti and YMCA.
Beside all his activity Dr. Sahni has the passion to read and update himself. His thirst to know is unquenchable but at the same time writing books and article to deliver his best remained only hobby for him. He has also penned a book “Principles and Practices of Homoeopathic Pharmacy”
Dr. Sahni’s mind is never at rest when he observe any injustice and keep trying till a solution is achieved.
